DMCA / Copyright.
If something on PROX infringes a copyright you own, here is exactly how to tell us, what we'll do about it, and what to do if your content was removed in error.
Last updated · May 6, 2026
Scope
- PROX respects intellectual property rights. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. §512) and equivalent regimes elsewhere.
- User-uploadable content on PROX is limited to a custom profile avatar image. Live audio is not stored, transcribed, or rebroadcast — there is nothing to take down on the audio side.
Filing a notice
- If you believe content on PROX infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, send a written notice to dmca@prox.app with the subject line "DMCA Notice".
- Include: (a) a physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work; (c) identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it is on PROX (e.g., the username); (d) your contact information; (e) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the rights-holder's behalf.
- Incomplete notices may be ignored. Knowingly false notices may incur liability under §512(f).
What we do
- On a valid notice, we promptly remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who uploaded it.
- We may share the notice (including your contact information) with that user so they can respond.
Counter-notice
- If your content was removed and you believe in good faith that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@prox.app.
- Include: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the removed material and where it appeared; (c) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was wrongful; (d) your name, address, phone number, and consent to jurisdiction in the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., in the federal court for the District of Delaware).
- If we receive a valid counter-notice and the original complainant does not file suit within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material.
Repeat infringers
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, accounts that are repeat infringers of others' intellectual property.

Other rights claims
For trademark, publicity, or other non-copyright rights complaints, use the same email address with a clear subject line indicating the type of claim. We follow analogous procedures.
